The art of creating jewelry goes so far back into our history yet we still see how current tribes keep their art alive. Captured here is the fabrication of Tuareg silver jewelry which are the heritage of these proud people of Northern Africa. I personally own a few of these hand crafted items and for me to actually see the production is quite amazing. Techniques are similar to how its done here in the west but yet so simplified are the tools. No big production at all and yet the results are quite inspiring to anyone who is in the craft.

An Ear Lobbe

It's Nubian Jewels answer to over stretched ear piercings, although this is the first one created. I plan to introduce this into my summer line of custom accessories. It is worn over one ear lobe, the entire ear lobe fastening underneath where a regular earring post would be. I think it is a fantastic solution for accessorizing even if your piercing can no longer support gaudy. Another first by yours truely!!!

As a personality in my own right, I am inspired to capture the invisible into form.
The creative forces of our universe gives us the motivation to create and the gift to bring forth spirited creations that one can be attracted to and seen as being attractive in. My hands work the metal, form the beading sequences and merge my imagination into the form which becomes a design.
I love the sacredness of my gift, I still my mind and input the Divine Source. It is the meditativeness that rewards me during the task of building, and innovating something that benefits and shapes one's own imagination towards a subtle greatness of the wearer.

My sincere desire to outfit the male audience was the inspiration for my newest collection of Nubian Kings accessories. The Tie-Backs are more than just a means for securing the hair, its a presence of regalness that only a Nubian King honors. I founded it on the notion that our Kings deserve to be acknowledged as one, bringing a distinctiveness and refinement to his presence. Stay tuned more to come!

Welcome, just giving you a glimpse of my craftiness.

Although I merchandise items that I don't create myself I wanted to showcase the variety of projects that I have made by hand. In the beginning, 10 years ago I just picked up some wire and started fabricating wire items without any instruction, namely loc coils, khimar/hijab pins/hat pins, and rings.

Further down the line I enrolled in a on-hands workshop to learn metalsmithing...metal fabrication; soldering, and surface manipulation of metals. I LOVED It!!!!
